PLANTS THAT DEFY EVOLUTION
Per your request, I am forwarding two more examples of
plant species, which DEFY Darwinian evolution. Examples :
1. The " jimson weed "
. Scientific name : Datura stramonium. This is a basic plant that grows wild, like most other weeds, namely in various parts of the United States. However, this weed is toxic. Its roots, stems and leaves all contain trace amount of natural poisons, including several alkaloid compounds. And yet, the MOST toxic area of the plant is found in the seed pod. This pod is about the size of a walnut and is covered with prickly thorns. Why all the thorns ? They serve NO practical purpose in the growth of the plant, at any stage in its life cycle. Therefore, why the need for all these thorns, located around a pod of toxic seeds ? Does the plant KNOW it is lethal ?
IMPOSSIBLE. It is a PLANT . It has no brain,
no central nervous system, no subjective thought process, etc. Why
then, would it have added this feature at some point in time,
according to evolutionists, and established for itself all these
thorns, that serve no purpose in the growth of the plant ? Its
contents, by the way are NOT lethal to other plants; only animals.
Therefore, could plants know that animals are looming about ?
NO. Again, it is impossible ! They have no ability for any
analytical thought process. They also have no sensory perception,
like animals, so they would not know of potential danger from its
toxic seeds. How and why would it possess this defense mechanism
?
Easy. The plant was CREATED by an intelligent
designer from the start. Why you ask ? Simple. There IS a
benefit to all those toxic seeds. They have been used for medicinal
purposes for years. It's just that, in mass quantity, if consumed
by wild animals or humans, they could be potentially fatal. Thus,
Creationists can easily explain, through basic scientific
observation, the existence of the jimson weed. Evolutionists hate
examples, like the jimson weed, because it DISPROVES the deductive
reasoning used to justify evolution.
2. The Honey Locust tree.
Scientific name : Gleditschia triacanthus. It is a large tree often found throughout various parts of North America, which can grow to well over 60 feet. It is often promoted by evolutionists as an example of a plant which merely evolved to adapt to its surroundings. They claim it was influenced many years ago, by the mastodon. The beast, we are told, would simply tear the tree to shreds when roaming through the woods.
In response, the honey locust tree co-evolved with
the mastodon. It established for itself a defense mechanism. It
simply grew large thorns, several inches in length, and attached
them to the trunks of the tree. In this way we are told, the
mastodon was kept from destroying the tree, while at the same
time, still being able to eat the seeds pods off the limbs.
However, the idiot's logic of evolution is easily exposed. How did
the the honey locust develop it's own defense mechanism ? We are
told that mutations occur randomly in nature, that there is no need
for " need " in evolution; no " arrow " evolutionists claim. Yet,
the movement easily contradicts itself by attempting to explain away
the logic, by saying they co-evolved. Problem here is, why then did
not all the OTHER trees, ravaged by the mastodon, simply grow large
thorns on their trunks as well, for protection ? This is making an
assumption that the tree KNEW, through some sort of subjective
thought process, there was danger looming about. If this WERE true
, why then would not the Honey Locust tree simply now discard its
thorns ? If it instinctively KNEW of their existence, would it not
now become aware of their extinction ?
The Honey Locust is therefore, easily explained. It
was designed with thorns, by an Intelligent Designer. Why ?
Several reasons. The bark is somewhat thin and can easily be
damaged by wild animals, much smaller than a mastodon. This would
cause the tree to become easily suspect to disease. The leaves of
the tree are also toxic, if consumed in mass quantity by animals.
The thorns therefore serve as a deterrent to them. The seed pods
ARE edible. They contain a honey like pulp around the seeds. The
pods often drop to the ground in autumn. This is when the leaves
begin to turn a bright yellow, which, at this point, no
longer become desired by animals. Thus, the existence of thorns on
the honey locust, are easily explained. And, just as well, dispel
the myth of Darwinian evolution.
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
