 SCIENTIFIC FACTS AGAINST EVOLUTION

09-2004

Here are some fascinating Quotes sent to us by Creationist Author, Frank Sherwin.

Frank Sherwin has a B.A. in biology from Western State College in Colorado and an M.A. in zoology from the University of Northern Colorado. Franks specialty is parasitology. He works at the Institute for Creation Research in San Diego. Before going to work for ICR, Frank taught human physiology & anatomy, medical microbiology, parasitology, general biology, and cell biology for nine years at Pensacola Christian College. He is a member of the American Society of Parasitologists and the Helminthological Society of Washington.

Frank Sherwin writes:

It would be great if you could add the following quotes to your excellent list. The first quote below is rather deep & lengthy, but it devastates the evolutionary position because it shows that natural selection & mutations cannot explain the origin of these critical molecules -

"Domain shuffling aside, it remains a mystery how the undirected process of mutation, combined with natural selection, has resulted in the creation of thousands of new proteins with extraordinarily diverse and well-optimized functions. This problem is particularly acute for tightly integrated molecular systems that consist of many interacting parts, such as ligands, receptors, and the downstream regulatory factors with which they interact. In these systems it is not clear how a new function for any protein might be selected for unless the other members of the complex are already present, creating a molecular version of the ancient evolutionary riddle of the chicken and the egg." - Thornton and DeSalle, Genomics meets phylogenetics, Annual Review of Genomics and Human Genetics 2000, p. 64

Robert May is a UK Chief Scientist. In New Scientist magazine ( July 1, 2000 ) on page 5 he stated, "We share half our genes with the banana." (Wow! Is a person half banana, or a banana half person? This is an important quote to include on your site, because it shows the evolutionist argument of 'people having 98% the same DNA as a chimp' (we don't) to be without scientific merit)

How refreshing it is to read the candid admission of one of England 's premier evolutionary biologists, the late L. Harrison Matthews (F.R.S.) -

"The fact of evolution is the backbone of biology, and biology is thus in the peculiar position of being a science founded on an unproved theory - is it then a science or a faith? Belief in the theory of evolution is thus exactly parallel to belief in special creation - both are concepts which believers know to be true but neither, up to the present, has been capable of proof" - Introduction to The Origin of Species (London: J.M. Dent & Sons, Ltd., 1971)

I've used this quote (above)  in every debate I've had with evolutionists - they have never given a reply to it.   So, both creation science & evolutionism require faith, but the faith of the creation scientist is more reasonable & logical.
